We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pain Medicine Consultant/ Addiction Specialist to join our Pain Management Team!
This role at Jamie Larcombe Centre is best suited to either an Addiction Specialist with Pain Management experience, or a Pain Specialist with experience in Addiction Medicine.
About the role:
As the Pain Medicine Consultant/Addiction Specialist, your duties can include:
- Being responsive to the expectations and needs of both clinical and non-clinical colleagues,
- Ensuring that patients and families are given adequate information upon which to base treatment decisions and follow-up,
- Participating in CPD programs directed towards maintaining the highest standards of professional care,
- Providing appropriate direction and supervision to Registrars, Resident Medical Officers and students thereby ensuring the appropriate management and treatment of patients.
About you:
- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent,
- Appropriate Specialist Qualifications in Pain Medicine or Addiction Medicine and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award,
- Providing appropriate direction and supervision to Registrars, Resident Medical Officers and students thereby ensuring the appropriate management and treatment of patients,
- Needs experience in addiction medicine and Pain Management Medicine.
