Consultant - Pain Medicine / Addiction Specialist

• Total Indicative Remuneration Package: $254,981 - $335,587 MD02 (pro rata) | Part Time 7.5 hours p.w. – Ongoing

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pain Medicine Consultant/ Addiction Specialist to join our Pain Management Team!

This role at Jamie Larcombe Centre is best suited to either an Addiction Specialist with Pain Management experience, or a Pain Specialist with experience in Addiction Medicine.

About the role:

As the Pain Medicine Consultant/Addiction Specialist, your duties can include:

• Being responsive to the expectations and needs of both clinical and non-clinical colleagues,
• Ensuring that patients and families are given adequate information upon which to base treatment decisions and follow-up,
• Participating in CPD programs directed towards maintaining the highest standards of professional care,
• Providing appropriate direction and supervision to Registrars, Resident Medical Officers and students thereby ensuring the appropriate management and treatment of patients.

About you:

• Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent,
• Appropriate Specialist Qualifications in Pain Medicine or Addiction Medicine and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award,
• Providing appropriate direction and supervision to Registrars, Resident Medical Officers and students thereby ensuring the appropriate management and treatment of patients,
• Needs experience in addiction medicine and Pain Management Medicine.
