We are seeking a dynamic Senior Finance Analyst to provide expert financial decision support to the ‘Risk & Advice’ and ‘People, Legal & Corporate Services’ functions. The role focuses on enabling senior stakeholders (EO and EGMs) to achieve their business objectives and meet expense and FTE targets. Key responsibilities include leading the budget, forecasting, and month-end processes for the assigned functions.
What you’ll do
- Lead expense and FTE results for annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
- Prepare templates, collect assumptions, interpret business drivers, and advise on meeting targets.
- Input expense and FTE assumptions into TM1 budget model.
- Communicate results to stakeholders through presentations, reporting, and analysis.
- Coordinate updates to cost allocation rules for assigned functions.
- Lead month-end activities, including journal entries, variance analysis, and financial packs.
- Monitor expense and FTE results, providing insights to help achieve targets.
- Provide variance analysis and commentary in Power BI reports.
- Deliver ad hoc reporting, including run rate, vacancies, forecasts, scenario, and vendor analysis.
- Build and maintain strong relationships to facilitate divisional goals and become a key source of advice.
- Analyse business metrics, review business cases, and provide key analytical insights for stakeholders.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting (or similar) - Mandatory
- CPA, CA, or CFA qualification - Mandatory
- Membership of recognised professional body (ACA, CFA, CPA) - Desired
- Post graduate qualification (MBA, etc) - Desired
- 3+ years’ experience within a financial services organisation
- Insurance experience is preferred
- Experience in analysis and executive reporting
- Experience in a finance role in a medium or large financial services organisation
- Proven track record in managing relationships based on mutual trust and respect
- Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information
