Transport Analyst (SST Explosives) – Orchard Hills NSW
Toll Group are looking for a skilled Transport Analyst to join our team and help optimise the movement of stock within the EO transportation network. As a Transport Analyst, your key responsibility will be to strategically analyse and optimise transportation activities to ensure Delivered in Full and On Time (DIFOT) metrics are met. You will use data and analytics to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of transportation processes and identify areas for improvement. Your role will involve developing strategies to reduce supply chain failures and enhance service outcomes.
This position may be based at a customer’s operations site, working alongside our partners Thales Australia. The EO Services group delivers critical storage and logistics support to the Department of Defence.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities –

Analyse and implement solutions to improve strategic transportation outcomes.

Develop and evaluate transportation policies, procedures, and standards.

Maintain data systems to track transportation performance and KPIs.
-
Identify process improvements and create plans for implementation.
-
Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure strategic transport plans are reconciled.

Communicate with managers, customers, contractors, and staff to identify and resolve supply chain risks.

Ensure compliance with HSE standards and participate in safety initiatives.

Manage customer delivery changes and maintain strong relationships with management.
Skills Essential to the job for success -

Technical: Knowledge of transport tracking systems (TMS), Road Traffic Act, Dangerous Goods regulations, NHVR guidelines.

Business: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in transport systems, excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

Experience in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, or related field.

Leadership skills and Dangerous Goods Training.
-
Knowledge of Lean principles and continuous improvement.
