HARRY PAINTING AND DECORATING SERVICES PTY, a business located in TARNEIT, VIC 3029, are looking for as killed Painter to paint the interior and exterior of structures, buildings and other surfaces. Your job will be important since good painting has both practical and aesthetic benefits.
An excellent painter is knowledgeable in selecting the right material for their job. They have experience in painting with various tools and in various heights and spaces while observing also safety measures. They must be reliable and deft as well as possess great attention to detail in completing their duties.
The goal is to deliver high-quality painting work.
Responsibilities
• Apply paint to surfaces including canvas, walls, floors, doors, and cabinets.
• Mix, match, and apply paint, varnish, acrylic, enamel, and other finishes.
• Scrape, sandpaper, prime, or seal surfaces prior to painting.
• Clean walls to ensure proper adherence.
• Cover surfaces with cloth or plastic to ensure protection.
• Calculate amounts of required materials and estimate costs.
• Fill cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers, using caulking guns or putty
knives.
• Remove fixtures such as pictures, doorknobs, lamps, and electric switch covers prior to painting
• Apply several coats according to paint directions.
• Tape off areas when needed.
• Apply touch ups or second coats.
• Remove paint splatters when finished.
• Clean up all equipment, including brushes and spray guns.
• Utilize spray guns for large jobs.
• Work on ladders to reach high ceilings or walls.
Requirements
• Hands on 1 year experience within the painting trades industry.
• Looking for qualified painter to work in the painting trades industry.
• Excellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply them
• Solid knowledge of construction painting techniques
• Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.)
• Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on platforms, ladders etc.
• Conscientious with great attention to detail
• Painter must have Certificate III in Painting & Decorating & Certificate IV in Building & Construction including 1 year of work experience in this field
