Springfield Central State School welcomes applications for a temporary part-time Administration Officer (AAEP) offered at 0.72 FTE and 42 hours per fortnight, from 22 April 2025 until 19 September 2025, unless otherwise determined.
In this role you will be working within a busy work environment providing administrative support for student attendance, medical records, and accounts receivable. The successful applicant will be required to demonstrate strong organisation and time management skills and be passionate about working with primary school aged children, their families and school staff.

Your Role
As the Administrative Officer (AAEP) will contribute to the effective and efficient administrative management of the school by providing relevant and timely administrative support to the Principal, Business Manager and Office Manager. You will work within existing guidelines to provide basic resolution of problems by reference to established procedure, consulting the Principal or Business Manager for matters that are more complex or non-routine.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
Generate daily reports on absenteeism, send SMS messages to parents/carers, advise and follow up with teachers, and document relevant information/Undertake routine activities including reception (telephone and counter enquiries), student services, first aid, administering medication, correspondence, enrolments, data entry tasks, maintaining school records, processing of mail and emailsHigh level of professionalism and customer service whilst communication with internal and external stakeholders; providing information and advice in line with school policies and/or Principal directives; and demonstrating empathy, emotional understanding and supportAbility to work collaboratively with other team membersExecutive support consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the position as directed by the Principal, Business Manager or nominated delegate
About You
Highly desired skills and experience:
Experience with OneSchool and other DoE platforms preferredProven ability to work independently and harmoniously within a team environment to achieve quality outcomesExcellent organisational, communication, multi-tasking and time management skillsAbility to be flexible and adaptiveProficient in Microsoft applications e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher
