Beginning in 1925, in the small town of Yenda, NSW, 10 like-minded farmers found they had a common vision of sharing resources to meet their farming needs. The Yenda Producers Co-operative Society is an agricultural retailer and a part of the Yenda Group whose businesses share a common goal to provide quality goods and services to the rural sector in and around the Riverina and North-East Victoria.
We are currently looking for an outgoing and organised Rural Merchandise Officer to join our team working in our retail branch in Griffith.
Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to :
- Providing high level customer service and advice to our customers based on qualification level and expertise.
- Assisting the Senior Rural Merchandise Officer with seasonal stock estimates.
- Assisting the Senior Rural Merchandise Officer in preparing annual and periodic stock takes.
- Ordering, reporting, and maintaining agency stock levels.
- Undertaking regular stock counts and checks as directed.
- Investigating and reporting any stock count variance to the Senior Rural Merchandise Officer.
- Maintaining the appearance of the branch, including the store, chemical shed, and yard, to a high standard.
- Communicating and coordinating the delivery of products with third-party carriers.
- Performing other work tasks as required and/or delegated, in line with the job role.
Essential requirements :
- Current driver licence.
- A strong work ethic and the ability to work in a team.
- A good level of physical fitness (some lifting is required)
Desirable requirements :
- Some evidence of customer service experience.
- Agriculture industry knowledge would be beneficial, but not necessary.
- Forklift licence - To be obtained on the job if the successful candidate does not hold one.

This is a full time position working 8 hours a day, 5 days a week (and rostered Saturdays). An immediate start is available, however we are flexible on a start date for the right candidate. The successful candidate may be required to work across multiple branches from time to time, particularly in relation to truck driving/deliveries.
