We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working in a team, and has a strong commitment to supporting the development and delivery of high-impact programs that drive positive change. This position is being offered in a temporary part-time capacity (0.5FTE), 36.25 hours per fortnight.

Your Role
As the Manager, Regulation you will:
Provide leadership to a team undertaking complex functions of the Early Childhood Regulatory Authority and promote the consistent implementation of early childhood education and care (ECEC) legislation, guided by the Regulating for Quality policy .Manage strategies to improve quality in process and practice to support the effective regulation of the ECEC sector and engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve regulatory outcomes.
The Manager, Regulation reports to the Director, Standards, Early Childhood Regulatory Authority
Responsibilities Include
Managing the implementation of consistent, transparent and robust regulatory practice in accordance with the principles of good administrative decision making and the ECEC legislation.Making complex decisions and providing advice to senior management on regulatory issues while considering the legal and policy implications.Overseeing recommendations and decisions as well as providing high quality guidance and training to the team to ensure quality, defensibility and consistency.Guiding individuals and the team in the application of risk-based regulatory frameworks, identifying and rectifying issues and gaps in guidance and tools.Anticipating risk, responding to issues and trends through data analysis to develop innovative solutions and drive operational planning, resource allocation and scheduling.Identifying opportunities to collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders and maintaining existing networks within the ECEC sector.Negotiating successful outcomes through co-design and managing relationships in resolving conflict of escalated cases to ensure effective application of the ECEC legislation.Leading and managing operational policy strategies to promote continuous quality improvement in regulatory process and practice, ensuring alignment with the department's strategic direction.Providing high level documentation, including briefs, correspondence, and reports to support regulatory and executive decision making.Supervising and developing staff in line with contemporary human resource practices and policies and in accordance with s40(2) & (3) of the Queensland Public Sector Act 2022.
