We are seeking a friendly and professional receptionist to work at our small animal veterinary clinic. This role requires a dedicated individual who can provide a high standard of care to our clients and patients alike. The clinic can become busy at times, so the ability to work well under pressure and remain calm in emergencies is essential.As a Veterinary Receptionist, Your Role Will Involve
Frontline customer service: Be the first point of contact for clients, greeting them warmly and helping with their enquiries (in person, on the phone, and via email). Appointment scheduling: Book client appointments and manage the clinic's daily calendar. Client communication: Provide clear, helpful information about our services, treatments, and preventive care options. Administrative tasks: Handle office duties such as managing client records, processing payments, and keeping the reception area organised. Support the veterinary team: Assist in maintaining a smooth operation of the clinic by liaising between the clients and the veterinary team.

We currently have 4 Vets, 4 Nurses/Animal Care Assistants and 4 receptionists.
We are a small practice in the heart of Beaconsfield that prides ourselves on our community feel and ethos. We have been open for 100 years and have many loyal clients, as well as staff members. We have a family-like approach to our team and like to build strong working relationships and friendships.
Beaconsfield is a buzzing town with many shops, cafes, and bars/restaurants. We have the advantage of being close to London and other nearby towns but also the countryside is on our doorstep! The train station has direct, fast links to London.
The practice has 3 consultation rooms, 1 prep/dental area with dental Xray, 1 theatre, 1 x-ray room, ultrasound, in house laboratory, separate dog and cat wards.
As well as routine surgery, we perform orthopaedic and some more advanced soft tissue surgery.
We promote clinical freedom as well as innovation and are keen for more services to be offered in house - we are happy to discuss any interest in a certificate etc.
Rota Pattern
Our people are at the heart of everything that we do, that's why we know that work-life balance is vital in supporting our people to be their best selves. We are open to flexible working 5 days but a share in the later shifts is needed which finish at 7pm. The weekend rota is usually 1 in 2 working Saturday 7.45am - 12.15pm and weekends can be swapped if needed. There are no out of hours.
