What does the job look like?
Linfox's Intermodal Business Unit is currently seeking a Compliance Coordinator to join the team located in Regency Park SA. As a part of this role, you will be required to oversee and ensure adherence to Linfox policies and procedures, chain of responsibility, state and federal laws, including Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL). You will work closely with site management to ensure compliance across all areas, such as Basic Fatigue Management and Standard Hour Accreditation. You will oversee site inductions and provide relevant training for all external and internal staff. We currently have a permanent full-time opportunity available, working Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm. Key areas:
- Maintain and submit quarterly compliance statements, ensuring adherence to NHVAS and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct internal and external audits on drivers and vehicles and engage with subcontractors for compliance.
- Manage log checker 5 data entry and generate non-conformance reports.
- Accurately investigate and report incidents, promoting a safe working environment.
- Adhere to Linfox policies, procedures, and the WHS Management system, ensuring safety at all times.
- Actively promote and support behaviours that contribute to an injury-free workplace and voice safety concerns constructively.
Are you the one?
To succeed in this role, you must demonstrate strong attention to detail, be comfortable handling challenging conversations, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and possess the ability to think quickly and solve problems efficiently. You can demonstrate:
- 5 years industry experience with knowledge of transport compliance, Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL), and NHVAS for Mass & Maintenance Management.
- In-depth understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR), National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR), and safety and road transport regulations, with practical application in maintaining compliance.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop others through mentoring, coaching, and providing development opportunities, fostering teamwork across business units.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including effective report preparation and the ability to communicate across organisational levels, from senior management to operators.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, plan effectively, and ensure timely delivery of outcomes.
- Strong customer orientation, with the ability to respond to needs, maintain service standards, and drive outcomes, while adapting to changes and challenges.
