Description:

The role of the Principal Inspector is to fulfill the Department's legislated responsibility to monitor and inspect Queensland's Youth Detention Centres.

As a Principal Inspector You Will

  • Plan, analyse data, lead consultations and conduct on-site inspections to enable oversight of operations and service delivery in Youth Detention Centres.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and providing high-level timely advice to executives and the Director-General regarding strengths, challenges and opportunities for continuous improvement in Youth Detention Centres.
  • Demonstrate strong cultural capability and/or commitment to developing cultural capability that preserves cultural connection and improves responsive service delivery for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people and families.
