Your New Role
Reporting to the head of accounting, you are the senior financial accountant at HQ with key responsibilities of half & full year reporting, liaising the annual audits, and financial statement preparation. You'll drive automation, reporting/process improvements, and ensure delivery of timely and accurate reporting. You'll work closely alongside the FP&A department, systems accounting, and transactional accounts officers at the head office. You will keep on top of all new legislative and reporting requirements, providing technical advice on new AASB and IFRS changes. You will also have direct management of two transactional team members to support, encourage and lead.
Your Profile
You are 5+ years post qualified, with recent experience in providing top notch, timely and accurate ASX full and half year consolidated reporting. You are meticulous in your attention to detail and passionate about your craft. You take pride in your work and always look for new and better ways to get the job done. You prefer to work in a mid-tier mining operator environment where you have more responsibility and autonomy over your work. You value your flexibility and enjoy being able to work from home 1 day per week, whilst building team culture when you are in the office. You are sociable and like to get up from behind the desk and engage across departments.
