With a commitment to driving growth and long-term sustainability, they are now seeking an experienced Senior Accountant / Finance Business Partner to join their close-knit and driven Finance team.
About the role:
This is a permanent full time opportunity reporting through to the Group Finance Manager. You will play a pivotal role in having a hands-on approach in preparing key aspects of financial information required and reporting of financial results for the relevant business units including vital reporting of key external annual reports with ASIC and the ATO.
The role has 1 Accountant reporting into them.
The Ideal Candidate:
• Lead the annual external and internal audits for the group
• Prepare monthly reporting files and overall review of group results to US parent company
• Prepare monthly commentary and variance analysis on overall Australia Group results
• Review, and as required preparation or process and reconcile monthly journals, accounts and GL reconciliations
• Review, and as required preparation of monthly forecasts for P&L, Balance Sheet
• Review, and as required preparation of monthly job summary sheet
• Oversee the SOX controls procedures and requirements for the group
• Assist the Group Finance team with the successful integration of newly acquired businesses into the Group.
• Prepare annual FBT return
• Assist with BAS, IAS, Payroll tax and workcover matters
• Prepare yearly budgets and forecasting for operating units
Experience:
• Qualifications of Degree in Accounting and CPA or CA qualified
• Must have previous experience in a broad ranging Accountant position within a large organisation
• Previous experience in assisting with external audit and financial reporting requirements
• Proven communication skills (both verbal and written) and ability to build relationships at all levels
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
