About the role
We are seeking enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic team as a Sport and Recreation Liaison Officer. Reporting to the Team Leader Sport and Recreation, you play a crucial role in fostering partnerships and engaging with sports clubs, community organisations and key stakeholders. Your mission will be to provide active and healthy opportunities for people across Kingston.
Your Skills and experience
We are looking for someone with:
- Familiarity with the operation of outdoor sporting and recreation facilities.
- Ability to liaise and communicate effectively with sports clubs and community groups.
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to achieve outcomes for the benefit of the Kingston community.
- Proven ability to co-ordinate sports club stakeholder input and involvement with the planning and delivery of works and projects.
- The ability to be self-motivated and work effectively within a team.
- Excellent written communication and presentation skills, including the demonstrated ability to assist with preparing project plans, engagement plans, reports and correspondence based on evidence-based research and data.
- Degree or Diploma in sport and recreation administration and/or project management qualifications or less formal qualification with relevant experience working with sporting and recreation clubs and school groups.
