- Band 4 $72,223 - $76,938 per annum plus Superannuation
- Based across Patterson Lakes Community Centre & Chelsea Activity Hub
Join our team as a Community Centre Administration Officer
This role is part of the Community Hubs team within the Inclusive Communities Department of the City of Kingston. We are a passionate motivated team who love working with the community to meet their needs through the delivery of high-quality programs, activities, and events.
A bit about the role
We are seeking a Community Centre Administration Officer based across Patterson Lakes Community Centre and Chelsea Activity Hub. Reporting to the Community Strengthening Coordinator. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where each day brings variety and new projects.
Council operated Community Centres and Hubs are multi-purpose facilities operated by the City of Kingston, providing opportunities for community groups and individuals to participate in learning, recreational activities and social gatherings, and gives access to co-located Services.
Other Responsibilities include
- Present the Centres in an open and inviting manner and welcome all community members
- Maintain accurate records for reporting, correspondence, and finance
- Look for ways to continuously improve processes and operations
- Assist with promotion of the Centres
Your Skills and Experience
- An ability to connect, engage and build rapport with community
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Demonstrated ability to provide timely, relevant, and accurate information and support to internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to use communication technology effectively and efficiently
- Knowledge or experience in working within local government and/or Community Centres is desirable
- Successful completion of post-secondary training/qualification in administration or equivalent and/or experience through on-the-job training in providing administrative support.
