This pivotal role within the Assets & Operations Team is key to Coliban Water’s ongoing success. You’ll play an integral part in Coliban Waters Big Water Build, delivering exceptional results to our community by efficiently delivering water infrastructure, projects ensuring compliance to technical and professional standards and related legislation whilst managing budget, time and stakeholder expectations.

The Senior Project Manager is responsible and accountable for the delivery of a wide-ranging program of assigned projects in support of the Infrastructure Group’s objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

As our Senior Project Manager, you’ll be accountable for:

  • Evaluating and determining the allocated budget is appropriate and in line with the scope of works.
  • Manage project budgets, milestones, performance reporting, and ensure compliance with Coliban Water’s quality systems and safety standards.
  • Tender preparation, support project delivery teams, provide technical oversight, and act as the Superintendent’s Representative for assigned projects.
  • Overseeing and coordinating the work of a range of Project Managers and Project Engineers and external resources including technical specialists, consultancies and contractors.
  • Ensure all stakeholders are identified, engaged, their expectations managed, and interactions build confidence in Coliban Water.
  • Preparing all documentation required and ensuring the documentation meets the required standards.
  • Confirming all project risks are managed and business improvements are identified and actioned as required.
  • Ensuring that Coliban is a safe workplace and maintains a sustainable environment and meets all its statutory obligations.

About you:

  • A tertiary degree in Engineering, and Construction qualification with substantial experience in project or site management.
  • Eligible for membership in the Institute of Engineers Australia or Australian Institute of Project Management.
  • Proven project management skills with a strong record of delivering on time, within budget, and to specification.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Knowledge of WH&S legislation and project management methodologies.

Salary:

The salary and conditions for this position will be as per the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement 2021 Band 5 $115,162 - $139,851 + superannuation salary range will be offered to the successful candidate commensurate with their skills and experience.
