Passionate about safety? Great! So are we! But we need a bit of help to get the right culture, processes and procedures happening at TIMG. That's where you come in!We are after an enthusiastic and proactive individual to take on the role of managing our Work Health & Safety. This person is going to be the SME on Safety because this is a newly created role and it's reporting into the People & Culture Manager. So whilst I (as said manager) can provide you with general direction, support, lots of encouragement and backing, I am most certainly not a SME in safety. I (and the rest of TIMG) will be looking at you for that! So you absolutely need to be comfortable to back yourself, be on top of the latest in safety legislation and thrive with the responsibility this role comes with.
The role is full-time, 38 hours a week from Monday - Friday and can be based from either NSW or VIC with an expectation to attend the office three days a week.
With 450+ staff across every state in Australia and a mix of blue and white collar employees, you will need to enjoy working with a variety of people and have the ability to build rappot and adapt your style in order to get the most out of our teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive best-practice safety processes and culture.
• Support Worker's Compensation claims and act TIMG's Return-to-Work Coordinator.
• Monitor and track WHS incidents, hazards and near misses in Folio for all TIMG sites.
• Work closely with managers to ensure that corrective actions are taken.
• Follow up with managers on outstanding incidents and ensure timely resolution.
• Ensure compliance with WHS regulations and best practices.
• Drive Safety-related consultation and communication across the business.
• Managing our WHS system (Folio).
• Come up with proactive solutions and suggestions to improve our safety processes and behaviours.
What We’re Looking For:
• An understanding of WHS regulations and practices, or drive to learn them.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with managers across departments.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Relevant experience in a safety role is a must- being the SME for the whole company in this area.
• A Certificate 4 in Work Health and Safety and / or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or similar.
