**About the Opportunity** As the Design Manager you will be a member of the Property and Procurement department. Reporting directly to the Head of Project Delivery, the Design Manager is responsible for the design, documentation, and end-to-end delivery of architectural, interior, fitout and refurbishment projects across the RACV physical asset portfolio. **Come along for a new journey** Your ability to build and maintain relationships across a broad range of stakeholders is fundamental to the success of this role. You will be responsible for the design and documentation of projects as well as be required to lead a team of design consultants and contractors through project activities including scoping, town planning, design, procurement, construction and commissioning. The role will act as a design subject matter expert and work with stakeholders to ensure best practice design standards are achieved. Key responsibilities: - Represent the project at project governance forums. - Connect project communications and reporting to strategic business initiatives. - Align project to project methodology compliance standards set by the business. - Negotiate with suppliers to ensure project deliverables are completed, ensuring procurement activities are done in line with the approved delegations of authority. - Ensure all projects comply with the agreed quality standards and all policies. - Ensure the provision of a safe work environment for employees and support adherence to Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures - Produce project initiation documents for relevant projects, which confirm what is to be achieved, how, when, and within what constraints - Lead and oversee the entire design process from concept stage to completion of projects, ensuring adherence to design standards **Who we’re looking for and what you’ll bring.** - Thrive in an environment where people are at the heart of everything.
