Are you a passionate Florist with an eye for design and a love for working with botanicals? Here’s your chance to shape the future of the floristry industry!

Join The Gordon’s dynamic and collaborative floristry team, where you’ll share your expertise and creativity with students eager to learn the art and business of floristry.

As a Floristry Teacher, you’ll bring hands-on experience in floral design, event styling, and emerging industry trends. Your knowledge of flower care, sustainability practices, and business management will empower students to develop skills from foundational techniques to advanced floral artistry.

Encourage creativity and nurture talent as students gain real-world experience through work placements, industry excursions, and hands-on projects—from visiting flower growers and markets to crafting stunning arrangements for major events, including the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show.

Skills & attributes for success in this role

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122/TAE40116) or equivalent - or willingness to complete
  • Industry qualifications to enable you to teach Certificate III in Floristry and specialist short courses.
  • Current knowledge, relevant skills and industry experience (5 years)

Salary
Casual Teacher L1 (AQF4) $82.01 (teaching) and $55.74 (non-teaching) per hour

Casual Teacher L2 (AQF5) $85.23 (teaching) and $ 57.93 (non-teaching) per hour

Casual Teacher L3 (AQF6) $88.60 (teaching) and $60.19 (non-teaching) per hour

Superannuation is paid at the current superannuation guarantee rate.
