We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic Noise Amelioration Plan (NAP) Program Coordinator to join our Strategy, Planning and Community team. This role will support development, consultation and submission of Melbourne Airports proposal for delivering noise amelioration that secures approval of the Federal Minister for Infrastructure by September 2026. The proposal is the first of its kind in Australia, subject to some important constraints and being designed with significant information gaps. Success will require a Coordinator who is a quick learner, adaptable an. d capable of exercising initiative. Discover how Melbourne Airport is thinking big with exciting projects like the third Runway, state-of-the-art terminals, and thriving business park developments —watch our video to see the future take flight: **Key responsibilities:** **The role's duties and accountabilities include, but are not limited to**: Noise Amelioration Plan (2025 -2026) During this phase the NAP&P Coordinator will be responsible to: - Support research and benchmarking initiatives – including liaising with expert consultants to gather data that is informative and can be used for both internal and external education purposes - Interface with other internal workstreams towards the development of their deliverables that are needed by NAP&P – particularly the ‘Noise Sharing Plan’, Eastern Extension Project and Master Plan 2027 teams - Work closely with the communications and engagement teams to deliver collateral and events that effectively disseminate quality information about NAP&P to the public (in-person and online) - Coordinate and record consultations between the Head of NAP&P and external stakeholders/representatives - Assist collation and drafting of the submission for Ministerial approval - Administration of contract, budget and reporting processes. Noise Amelioration Program (2026 – 2036+) During this phase the NAP&P Coordinator will be responsible to: - Continued engagement on behalf of NAP&P delivery in the community and with stakeholders - Coordinate structured communications with the owners/occupiers of eligible properties (inc. notifications, enquiry responses) with maintenance of high-quality records - Coordinate structured communications with the owners/occupiers of ineligible properties - Supporting project team responsible for delivering noise attenuation in eligible properties (noting this will include private dwellings and public/commercial facilities) - Administering complaints and dispute resolution processes. **The successful candidate will have:** - Graduate qualification in aviation, project management, public relations, communications or otherwise related field/s - Experience and demonstrable skills in research, critical analysis and problem-solving - Experience and demonstrable skills in project coordination – including prioritisation and organisation of multiple complex and varied workstreams and tasks - Competence in delivering written and verbal communications about technical concepts for public audiences - Curiosity, confidence, optimism and tenacity – with a calm and confident demeanour under pressure. - Aviation experience relating to community effects (particularly aircraft noise) - Understanding of government/stakeholder and community member engagement and consultation concepts - Graphic design and innovative data representation skills for online resources, including GIS - Professional experience in community outreach, engagement, information sessions.
