It’s an inclusive environment where there is no place for politics, where we get our heads together to solve the problems that really matter to our customers, and where we always stay focused on our north star – the communities we serve, and society at large. **The key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:** - Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial records and report the cash balance on a weekly basis. - Accounts Receivable Management: - Generate and issue billing invoices. - Monitor and manage collections to ensure timely payments and update the customer record accordingly - Report on a weekly basis the status of collections and any issues encountered. - Accounts Payable Management: - Record and process supplier invoices. - Handle payment processing and ensure proper documentation. - Prepayment & Asset Management: - Manage prepayments and fixed assets. - Prepare and post amortisation and depreciation journal entries. - Credit Card Management: - Record credit card transactions accurately. - Allocate expenses to relevant accounts and cost centres. - Identify any irregular payments and follow up with the card holders for corresponding receipts. - General Accounting Support: - Assist with other accounting tasks and projects as needed. - Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records. - Able to perform a reconciliation for non-complex balances (cash, trade receivables, payables) **Key requirements for the role:** - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. - Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. - Proactive and self-motivated approach to work. - Passionate about accounting and eager to learn and grow within the role. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, XLOOKUP). - Experience with accounting software, such as Netsuite, is highly desirable. - Solid understanding of journal entries and general accounting principles. - Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field. - Fresh graduates or candidates with 1-2 years of relevant experience are welcome to apply. **Why you should become a ReadyTecher: ** - A day off for your birthday- hip hip hooray! - Additional 4 days of leave each year - ReadyTecher Awards each quarter with the chance to win flights and accommodation to Hamilton Island - Hybrid work, with in-house baristas in Australia via the Ready Beans team - Access to Sonder- a technology-driven platform supported by safety, medical and mental health experts - available 24/7 - Paid parental leave - Additional paid leave for miscarriage, endometriosis and menopause - Volunteer leave - Flu vaccinations - And plenty of ReadyTech merch drops along the way!
