As the Chief Financial Officer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the financial strategy and operational performance of our organisation. You will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, including financial planning and analysis, budget management, accounting, statutory and management financial reporting and Tax compliance. The CFO will work closely with the executive team to develop strategic plans, optimise financial performance, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monthly management reporting, annual budgets and rolling forecasts
• Taxation compliance, structuring, returns (principally BASs and ITRs)
• Deliver continuous improvement, with a focus on automation, outsourcing and efficiency of staff and reporting systems
• Provides financial analysis and financial oversight to all key business projects ranging from acquisition analysis and associated due diligence to capital expenditure appraisals and new business evaluations
• Develops tools and enhances systems to provide critical financial support and operational information to key stakeholders
• Regulatory compliance and registrations
• Ensures that all spending controls are in place per company policies and procedures.
• Ensure that effective controls are in place across the business and that key drivers of performance are fully understood and optimised
• Establish and implement policies and operating procedures.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate department staff

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA, CA preferred.
• Proven experience as CFO, VP of Finance, or similar role in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a high-performing finance team.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in food manufacturing environments essential
• Experience in mergers, acquisitions, and fundraising activities preferred.
• Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

This is a hands-on role that requires the expertise to deliver across multiple aspects of finance. You will have been a senior leader who can roll their sleeves up to deliver optimal outcomes for this company, while contributing to the execution of its corporate strategy.
