We are seeking an Enterprise Architect (EA) to drive the adoption of a new Enterprise Applications Strategy, working with Business, IT Leaders, and Development teams to refine the strategy, build the roadmap, and contribute to business case development. This role will be part of UQ's IT Architecture team, helping guide transformation initiatives to achieve business outcomes, manage risks, and enhance sustainability.
Key responsibilities will include:

Strategic Planning : Contribute to the development and execution of the IT Landscape and Roadmap to meet UQ Technology Master Plan goals, collaborating with business and IT leaders.

Enterprise & Business Architecture : Develop conceptual architectures and evaluate IT roadmaps, ensuring alignment with the Enterprise Applications Strategy and providing guidance for investment decisions.

Stakeholder Collaboration : Consult with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure strategic initiatives align with UQ’s technology goals and provide advice on architecture, technology, and application management.

Application Portfolio Management : Evaluate and recommend application lifecycle management strategies, ensuring compliance with IT strategies, principles, and standards across the enterprise.

Postgraduate degree in IT or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
-
At least 5 years of experience as an Enterprise Architect.
-
10+ years of experience in large corporate organizations.
-
Proven experience in developing IT roadmaps, target architectures, and conceptual architectures.

Strong understanding of enterprise architecture best practices and frameworks (e.g., TOGAF).
-
Knowledge of business ecosystems, ERP, SOA, integration approaches, and data architectures.
-
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
-
Awareness of emerging technologies and processing environments.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia, criminal check, education check, etc.
