Senior Enterprise Architect

• Full-time, 12 month fixed-term position

• Base salary will be in the range $132,647 - $140,276 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 9) higher salary negotiable for candidates with exceptional skill and experience

• Based at our St Lucia location

We are seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect (EA) to drive the adoption of a new Enterprise Applications Strategy, working with Business, IT Leaders and Application Development teams to further refine and detail the strategy, building out the roadmap and contributing to the development of business cases to realise the vision. You will be working in our IT Architecture team within Information Technology Services here at UQ.

This person will perform a key role in guiding the teams through the transformation initiatives to achieve the anticipated business outcomes and capabilities, whilst mitigating risks and improving sustainability.

Key responsibilities will include:

• IT Strategy Planning : Lead initiatives to define UQ’s architecture principles, standards, and IT strategies aligned with the Technology Master Plan and Enterprise Applications Strategy.

• Enterprise Architecture : Develop IT roadmaps, conceptual architectures, manage cross-goal dependencies, and ensure new technology capabilities align with strategic goals.

• Stakeholder Consultation & Advice : Advise stakeholders on IT strategy, architecture, and technology management, ensuring alignment with overall objectives.

• Stakeholder Management & Communication : Build strategic relationships, keep the IT landscape updated, and negotiate to align stakeholder needs with UQ’s goals.

• Postgraduate degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience and training.

• Over 7 years of experience as an Enterprise Architect.

• 5+ years of IT leadership experience in large corporate organizations.

• 10+ years of experience working in large corporate organizations.

• Proven ability to guide IT strategy execution to achieve business outcomes.

• Experienced in developing IT roadmaps, target architectures, and conceptual architectures.

• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, best practices, and frameworks (e.g., TOGAF).

• Knowledgeable in business ecosystems, ERP, SOA, integration approaches, and data architectures.

The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia, criminal check, education check, etc.
