This is a full-time continuing position with salary in the range $91,658.60 - $98,330.37 (HEW 6), plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%.

Based at our St Lucia campus
Providing comprehensive services and advice to Library clients, this role partners with staff across Learning and Research Services to advance Library strategic priorities and initiatives and may require work across various Library locations.
Key responsibilities will include:
Develop and Deliver Information Services:

Design, deliver, and evaluate information and digital literacy programs, both face-to-face and online, in collaboration with library staff.
Provide Expert Research Support:
-
Offer expert advice and services to support research, including planning, searching, evaluation, organization, author identification, open scholarship, scholarly publishing, and research data management.
Create and Maintain Digital Content:
-
Develop, publish, and maintain a range of digital content supporting Library services, including web content, videos, and Library Guides.
Contribute to Library Operations and Projects:

Participate in collection evaluation/management, provide advanced information and advice on library resources and UQ systems, communicate proactively with clients, contribute to documentation and reports, coordinate and participate in library projects, and collaborate effectively as a library team member.

Qualifications eligible for ALIA membership (or equivalent), and professional experience in academic, research, or special libraries, demonstrating an understanding of current trends in the sector.

Substantial knowledge of information resources and technologies used in academic libraries, and proven experience in delivering information services and digital literacy programs.

Excellent communication, liaison, interpersonal, customer service, and teamwork skills, with demonstrated emotional intelligence and the ability to build effective relationships.

Self-motivation, initiative, adaptability to changing priorities, and the ability to meet deadlines.

Subject expertise relevant to learning and research needs, with an understanding of research output and metrics, and experience using computer applications for learning materials.
You must maintain unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment, and may be required to complete background checks including, criminal history and education checks. Employer sponsored work rights are not available for this appointment.
