About the role
Mater’s Built Environment team is looking for a Planning Program Coordinator to join the team. Reporting to the Manager Planning, Built Environment this role is maternity leave coverage for 9 months , based at our South Brisbane campus.
Salary range: $68.60 - $73.62 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
The purpose of this position is to coordinate the Space, Art and Heritage Program on a statewide basis ensuring a strategic approach is taken to shaping long term plans across the Mater organisation. The role plays an integral part in coordinating space, signage, wayfinding, art and heritage aspects of the organisation and supports the decanting and relocation of clinical and non-clinical departments as required.
- Provide advice and supporting data for strategic decision-making in the areas of space, art, and heritage while maintaining compliance with policies and procedures
- Lead meetings with executives to inform decisions related to organisational requirements and future growth
- Coordinate and execute space, art, and heritage activities, providing support and advice to various areas within the organisation
- Manage space planning, including inventory, audits, and design for effective space utilisation
- Manage decants and relocations, ensuring priorities are achieved within allocated resources and time constraints
- Oversee engagement with the Mater Heritage and Conservation plan, ensuring the preservation of heritage items and providing advice on projects impacting heritage significance
- Maintain signage and wayfinding solutions
About you
The successful applicant will ideally have tertiary level qualifications and/or extensive experience in Project Management, Business Management, Construction Management, or relevant field. They will also meet the below criteria:
- Previous substantial experience in managing a portfolio of space, art & heritage, wayfinding or capital works projects in a health, education or research environment
- Previous substantial and senior project management experience in capital works projects (within health industry highly desirable)
- Demonstrated experience in effectively managing relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external
- Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholder groups
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a larger team
- Ability to plan, develop, and execute project plans, ensuring project integration and scope
- Ability to manage projects within established policies and procedures
- Competent in use of a Property Management & Space Management Software and use of Revit (desirable)
- Understanding of Health Service Environment (desirable)
