Financial strategy and reporting: You will be responsible for preparing and reporting month-end financial results, ensuring accuracy while providing insightful analysis that highlights key variances against budgets and forecasts. Additionally, you will deliver timely and accurate financial reports to business unit managers, enabling them to make data-driven decisions and support strategic initiatives within the business.
Payroll and operational excellence : Responsible for Australia/New Zealand payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Providing support, mentorship and training to other finance or staff in accounts payable and receivable functions to support their professional development and enhance overall team efficiency.
Innovative Financial Solutions: Work with the wider team to identify efficiencies, streamline processes, and implement smart financial strategies that support business growth.
Professional Growth: You’ll work directly with senior leadership, gaining insights into financial planning, forecasting, and business strategy. This role will allow you to refine your analytical skills, contribute to key business decisions, and develop a strong understanding of financial risk management.
What a typical month might look like:
- Preparing and analysing month-end financial reports, comparing actuals vs. budgets and forecasts
- Managing balance sheet reconciliations and payroll processes (Australia & NZ)
- Process end of month journals
- Ensuring compliance with tax and financial regulations (BAS, payroll tax, superannuation, etc.)
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities and supporting financial risk management initiatives
- Identify and contribute to process improvements
How will you know you are suitable for this role?
- 5+ years' experience in an accounting environment
- CPA/CA qualified (or near completion)
- Strong financial analysis skills, with the ability to assess variances and provide insights
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Experience with Netsuite (or similar accounting software)
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong communication skills
