This role is based out of Sunshine Coast. The Civil Project Engineer will be based across several sites from North Brisbane to Sunshine Coast and Gympie and travel in between as will be needed. Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer and Construction Manager the Project Engineer will manage Delivery, QA, Costs and support the Civil delivery team on a day to day basis.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our Civil Construction team. In this role, you will need to have extensive knowledge and experience in civil construction techniques. We are seeking a quick-thinking individual who thrives in high-pressure situations.

Salary $80 -95,000

Highly skilled and motivated the ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing large-scale civil projects with a focus on cost control, forecasting, and quality assurance. While road experience is preferred, it is not critical for consideration.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee large-scale civil projects from conception to completion.
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and budgetary constraints.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality assurance checks to maintain project integrity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Utilise cost control techniques to manage project expenses effectively.
  • Provide accurate forecasting and reporting on project milestones and financial performance.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies as necessary.
  • Uphold safety standards and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale civil projects.
  • Strong understanding of cost control, forecasting, and quality assurance principles.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
  • Previous experience in road construction projects.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
