We are currently seeking a Substation Technician to join our Electrification and Automation Customer Services team in Adelaide, South Australia .Role Overview:
The Substation Technician will be responsible for servicing Medium Voltage AIS & GIS Switchgear, Low Voltage Switchgear, Busway systems, and protection & automation systems for clients across Australia and New Zealand. Key responsibilities include:
- Installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical infrastructure
- Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and customer satisfaction standards
- Performing preventative and corrective maintenance, upgrades, and workshop repairs
- Providing technical support and expertise to clients
- Minimum five years of experience in LV and MV Distribution systems
- Unrestricted Electrical Licence (A grade or equivalent)
- Valid Driver’s Licence and ability to travel for site work
- A passion for customer service
Additional qualifications that would be advantageous:
- Electrical Engineering background or equivalent experience
- Experience in Partial Discharge Testing & protection relay testing
- Knowledge of Sulfur Hexafluoride (SF6) gas handling
