As our highly valued Manager, Missions and Events, you will contribute to ensuring a bright future for Queensland, Australia and our global partners. You will do this with people who want you to grow and progress.
Reporting to the Director, Events and Missions you will be responsible for leading and managing a small team to plan and deliver TIQ major events, flagship programs and ministerial-led trade and investment missions. You will also play a key role in the delivery of the organisation's objectives in the TIQ Business Plan and contribute to the strategic direction of TIQ and its business outcomes. Based In Brisbane, Here's What Your Role Will Involve
- Support the Director, Events and Missions to manage the planning, delivery and reporting of TIQ strategic major events and ministerial missions undertaken by the Premier, Trade Minister and other Senior Ministers, including official international visits by the Governor of Queensland.
- Provide expert advice and briefing to senior management and executive leaders of TIQ, Ministerial Offices and key stakeholders which informs and influences effective decision making on major events and mission planning and delivery.
- Lead the Events and Missions team to ensure the most contemporary approach to delivering major events and missions with a focus on client service, continuous improvement and team culture.
- Proactively review, develop and/or update policies and procedures, processes and workflows, and delineation of roles and responsibilities across the business areas that are collectively responsible for major events and missions.
- Provide expert advice across TIQ on incoming and outgoing sponsorships, demonstrating thorough knowledge of the Queensland Government Sponsorship Framework and applying best practices.
- Implement best practice event and project management methodology to ensure the effective project management of major events and missions from initial scoping through to planning, delivery and evaluation.
