Your Opportunity:

The position of Advanced Social Worker Bereavement Service Coordinator will:

Provide leadership in delivery of a contemporary model for Bereavement Care and coordination that is fit for purpose for Children's Health Queensland, Hospital and Health Service (CHQ). The position is responsible for implementing a standardised CHQ response for bereaved families and their community of supporters that aligns with the Australian Health and Quality Standards.

Work collaboratively to implement a paediatric bereavement model that:

  • is informed by contemporary literature, draws on current theory, best practice models of care, benchmarking and scoping of similar services from a national and international perspective.
  • ensures broad stakeholder consultation, that is inclusive of hospital and community based partners and bereaved family members.
