About the role
The Occupational Therapy Department is located at the Mount Isa Hospital and provides a comprehensive service to all clients within the North West Hospital and Health Service.
The role of the Occupational Therapist is to provide comprehensive Occupational Therapy services to both inpatients and outpatients of the Mount Isa community. You will be part of a broader team that actively contributes to patient safety by following policies, procedures, and protocols of the health service. You are to support continued improvement of the service and excel in patient safety by actively contributing to a framework of sound clinical governance.
Requirements
- Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification in Occupational Therapy and appropriate registration/licences (Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency - AHPRA).
- The position will involve travel to various facilities or units within the North West Hospital and Health Service as required.
- C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
- Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
- This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
- A period of probation may apply.
