With a demonstrated safety focus and technical capabilities, the Principal Fleet Maintenance is responsible for the strategic and short-term operations of Councils Fleet Maintenance Section.

About the package

  • This is a permanent full-time position based at the Charlton Depot with a requirement to regularly visit employees at regional depots in Crows Nest and Pittsworth.
  • The annual salary range for this position is $116,406.37 - $131,372.87 gross per annum, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation.

About the Branch

The Fleet and Logistics branch has four sections;

  • Fleet Management
  • Fleet Maintenance
  • Fleet Logistics
  • Metal Fabrication

The branch is responsible for the whole asset life cycle from procurement to disposal and provides fleet logistic services to internal customers.

The metal fabrication team provides services to the whole of Council.

The fleet maintenance section ensures that equipment and plant down time is minimised to allowing internal customers to achieve success.

Council has a modern fleet that is maintained via workshops located at Charlton, Crows Nest and Pittsworth with expansion in progress for field maintenance.
