Overview
Auscoast Fire services currently has an opportunity for a Payroll Officer to join our team on the Gold Coast. This is a permanent part time position of 4 days per week. This role requires a proactive and collaborative team player who is open to cross-training in Payroll.
The Role
- Process salary and weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy in wage calculations, deductions, bonuses, and other adjustments.
- Maintain payroll data and records accurately in MYOB
- Ensure compliance with PAYG, superannuation, awards & EBAs, and Fair Work Act obligations.
- Handle end-to-end payroll processing, including month-end reconciliations and termination calculations with assistance of broader accounts team.
- Manage third-party payments, novated lease payments, and superannuation preparation and payments with assistance of broader accounts team.
- Address payroll-related queries from internal and external stakeholders with assistance of broader accounts team.
- Support regular payroll reporting, including end-of-month requirements with assistance of broader accounts team.
The Candidate
- 2+ years of relevant payroll experience.
- A high level of attention to detail.
- Demonstrated time management and organisational skills to effectively plan and prioritise work tasks.
- Open to cross-training and expanding knowledge in Payroll and HR processes.
- Ability to streamline processes and drive efficiency improvements.
