Drive Victoria's critical minerals boom and power the future of renewable energy!
Resources Victoria is currently seeking a Director, Critical Minerals to lead the coordination and implementation of the Critical Minerals Roadmap (Critical Minerals Roadmap) that aims to attract investment to Victoria for the purposes of mining critical minerals to support the renewable energy transition.
Reporting to the Executive Director, Policy and Programs you will provide high-level authoritative advice on the establishment of a critical minerals industry to the Minister and departmental executives. You will proactively identify emerging issues and trends and communicate the strategic direction for the State's critical minerals sector. This position will see you actively engage across departments, including federal departments, agencies and industry to promote and deliver the objectives outlined in the roadmap. In addition, you will work with the Community and Traditional Owners to development benefits sharing models.
As a proven leader with demonstrated experience in preparing and delivering policy and programs for managing natural resources, you will be a strong communicator that can build consensus at senior levels within an organisation. A key focus on delivery will stand in you good stead, along with your proven ability to find solutions and achieve results.
A qualification in geology, science or another relevant field is mandatory.
This is a fixed term position available for a period of up to 2 years. The work location for this position is Melbourne CBD with hybrid work arrangements available.
