Description:
The Spatial Project Officer, Critical Minerals, is responsible for coordinating spatial project endeavours for planned Strategic Land Use Assessments to support the successful delivery of Theme 1: Mapping the Opportunity of the Victorian Critical Minerals Roadmap. Supporting the management and analysis of spatial data inputs to identify and establish new Critical Mineral Priority Development Zones, the Spatial Project Officer identifies and implements timelines and dependencies and contributes to spatial data inputs required by the team.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- A tertiary qualification in spatial science, geoscience or science would be well regarded.
- Demonstrated experience with spatial datasets and spatial software (e.g. ArcGIS, QGIS, ESRi arcpy, etc) to make information available in an accessible format.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to develop workflows and identify dependencies as part of coordinating project delivery against agreed scope and timeframes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with, gain cooperation, and influence stakeholders and effectively participate in multi-disciplinary teams.
- Contemporary experience in high-quality record keeping including filing and accessibility of technical and non-technical files.
- Exposure to procurement and/or contract management would be well regarded.
This is a fixed term position available for a period until 30 June 2026. The work location for this position is 8 Nicholson Street with hybrid work arrangements available.
