The OpportunityThe Payroll Lead will be responsible for providing high quality, customer-centric payroll operational services. Reporting to the Team Leader, Business Transactions, the role will focus on delivering service excellence in providing the effective and efficient delivery of payroll processes for VicGrid.If this sounds like a program you want to be a part of, keep reading to find out some the things you will be responsible for delivering and some of the skills and experience you will bring with you. What you will deliver • In this role you will be the conduit that ensures a seamless transition of data and information between our HR and Finance systems, as well as our payroll provider. • You will ensure VicGrid aligns with leading practice payroll principles and processes, including leading the maintenance of accurate employee data and records, and raising issues or risks to the Team Lead or senior management, where identified, and seek to assist in the resolution of these issues. • You will participate in and complete regular reporting or cyclical activities (including monthly, quarterly and yearly processes, Superannuation, Taxation, Workcover etc), and participating in data quality checking or audit processes for VicGrid. • You will provide a responsive, helpful and confidential service to internal and external customers and stakeholders, as well as leading the resolution of payroll related enquiries and issues.
What you will bring• Demonstrated background in leading payroll functions. Experience working with payroll service providers is an advantage• Strong knowledge of Enterprise Agreements and Awards, and payroll related superannuation and tax legislation is required. • Demonstrated experience in data investigation • System proficiency in Payroll systems and HRIS or HCM environments, Microsoft Office (in particular Excel) is mandatory.

To be eligible for appointment to this role, applicants will possess corresponding work rights for the advertised employment period.
