The team
The Enterprise Services Group consists of four teams including Finance, Procurement, Property and Contracts, Performance Reporting and Planning and the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Program. The Group provides a range of support, advice and analysis services across ASIC.
The role
As a Finance Officer , you will
- Review bank statements and reconcile public monies with general ledger entries.
- Complete daily and monthly reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and take corrective actions.
- Respond to audit queries, analyse financial data, and address ad hoc requests.
- Assist with tax and statutory reporting obligations, ensuring compliance with legislation.
- Handle business invoice requests, manage customer payments, and recommend debt write-offs.
- Prepare and complete monthly compliance reports on supplier records.
- Assist accounts payable, process payment runs and provide payment on-time reporting.
- Recommend continuous improvements to existing practices.

About you
You have a relevant bachelor's degree or proven industry experience, along with strong analytical and technical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy. You will also require good customer service and problem-solving skills, as well as experience in interpreting legislation and following policy and procedures.
