Marist Sion College is situated in Warragul, Gippsland. Warragul is a thriving rural town set amongst rolling green hills and dairy fields, on the lands of the Gunaikurnai and Bunurong People. It is 102 kilometres south-east of Melbourne, accessible directly from the M1 freeway and lies between the Strzelecki Ranges to the south and Mount Baw Baw Plateau to the north. The town is the main population and service centre of the West Gippsland region and has a population of over 20,000.
About the Role
This role provides key operational support across multiple financial functions, including payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, the Senior Finance Officer plays a critical role in supporting financial compliance, reporting, and day to day operations to ensure smooth and accurate financial management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive Financial Accuracy: Prepare key financial reports, and support BAS/FBT submissions.
- Empower Budget Management: Assist with annual budgeting and keep the Fixed Asset Register up to date.
- Streamline Revenue and Debtors: Support invoicing, fee collection, and student account management.
- Ensure Smooth Supplier Payments: Assist with invoices, resolve queries, and maintain robust creditor records.
- Enhance Payroll Excellence: Support timely payroll processing, salary adjustments, and related reporting.
- Champion Confidentiality and Safety: Uphold strict data confidentiality and contribute to a child-safe environment.

Work Days: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.36pm
Commencement Date: Immediate start available

- $81,333 - $92,157 gross per annum + 11.5% super + salary packaging + 17.5% leave loading
