Your role at St John of God Langmore Centre
You will be a member of a multi-disciplinary team that provides evidenced-based psychology services to the clients/patients of St John of God Health Care (SJGHC).
The Grade 2 Psychologist is expected to work independently and demonstrate a specialist level of knowledge and depth of experience. You will initiate and participate in teaching, training, research and quality activities, to supervise students and supervise and mentor junior caregivers.
You will have the opportunity to be part of a range of clinical programs, including the Alcohol and other Drug Recovery program, adult mental health program, Intensive EMDR treatment program and a range of outpatient day program to continue supporting the ongoing patient’s recovery in the community.
This is a permanent part-time and hours are negotiable for the suitable candidate.
The Position
-
Provides individualised and group clinical care based on professional training reflecting current ethical clinical practice as required.

Provides comprehensive assessment and care planning monitoring client progress adjusting treatment accordingly.

Evaluates clinical outcomes and participates in research activities as required.

Liaise with all staff to promote effective communication including verbal and written feedback to referring Doctor.

Familiar and complies with legal, ethical responsibilities to patients, visitors and staff.

Maintains confidentiality and an appropriate professional relationship with staff and patients.

Participates regularly in clinical supervision and continues ongoing professional development through education.

Maintains appropriate clinical records reflecting adherence to hospital policies, ACHS and legal requirements.

Contributes to the design and implementation of programs relevant to the needs of clients and current clinical practice.
You will have Registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) and experience to provide group programs and individual therapy to child, adolescent and adult patients/clients presenting with a myriad of concerns.
To succeed you will have demonstrate research and evidence based practice methodologies and ability to undertake quality improvement activities.

Salary: $93,132 to $107,250 (pro rata for part time), plus 11.5% superannuation
