About your new company:A proudly Australian owned and operated infrastructure industry leader is seeking a EHS Manager to report into the director of the division. This expansion will see approximately $3 billion in regional investment and drive 5,000 jobs during peak construction. The initiative will collaborate with local communities to ensure long-term positive impacts.
About your new role:
This newly created role will see you either based in Sydney seeking to relocate or offer you an exciting new opportunity to use your skillset within the Mudgee region. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to;
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve the EHS Management System.
- Take ownership of the EHS function within the business.
- Successfully implement and manage Environmental and Safety ISO Certifications as defined in the STR.
- Develop, implement, manage, and maintain policies, plans, and procedures for Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S), ensuring compliance with company, contractual, and legislated WHS requirements.
This position will suit a highly experienced EHS Manager ideally from infrastructure, mining or large-scale project based organisation and you will possess the following;
- Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety .
- Previous experience in developing and managing EHS Management Systems in related industries.
- Safety Lead Auditor Qualification (Desirable).
- Lead ICAM Investigator (or equivalent) Statement of Attainment (Desirable).
- WHS Practitioner with 10+ years of experience in construction and/or heavy industry and high-risk workplaces.
- Management & Leadership experience of 4 years .
- Strong knowledge of Safety legislation and Codes of Practice , with the ability to interpret legislative requirements.
- Experience in project and operational risk management procedures and processes.
- Brownfields or greenfields exposure highly regarded!
