Job Title: Care Worker
Job Summary:
D.A.N.S. Inhome Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our close-knit community care team in Orange, New South Wales. The ideal candidate will have a Certificate 3 in Aged/Disability Care and a genuine interest in helping others.
You will be working closely with a member in their own home and in the community, providing care and supports which include:
– Medication assistance
– 2:1 transfer and personal care supports
– Community participation
Skills:
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Empathy and compassion towards clients
– Ability to follow instructions from Registered Nurses
– Strong organizational skills
– Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Responsibilities:
– Provide personal care such as showering and toileting
– Assist with meal preparation and medication management
– Support clients with shopping appointments and transportation needs
– Perform cleaning tasks within clients’ homes
– Offer respite care for carers
Qualifications:
– Certificate 3 in Aged/Disability Care (essential)
– First Aid/CPR certification (preferred)
– Valid driver’s license and own car
