About the role
We are looking for Graduate Project Scientist/Engineers to join JBS&G in our next intakes in July 2025 and January 2026. As a Project Scientist/Engineer, you will join one of NSW’s largest Contaminated Land Management consultancy teams. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills through industry leading experts and mentorship programs, support diverse and interesting projects, participate in internal and external training sessions, and gain practical, on-the-job training.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Develop field skills and knowledge in sampling methodologies for soil, soil vapor, indoor air, ambient air, hazardous materials, groundwater, and surface water.
- Support accurate reporting activities, including maintaining field notes, site descriptions, logs, analytical summary tables, and basic reporting tasks.
- Develop computer literacy skills in Microsoft Office and industry specific programs.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and communicate project updates as required.
- Develop relationships with clients and ensure high quality customer service throughout projects.
About you
- Tertiary qualification in Science or Engineering is essential, with an understanding of earth sciences highly desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively with a range of stakeholders to achieve desirable outcomes.
- Excellent time management and ability to manage and prioritise deadlines.
- Proactive and motivated approach to learning.
- Full drivers licence, and willingness to obtain a police and medical clearance.
