About this Role
As a Senior Hardware Engineer , you will be pivotal in driving the development of new products and supporting EDMI’s existing product range. You will collaborate with a talented global team to deliver innovative hardware solutions from concept to release, ensuring product reliability, compliance, and performance. This position involves a broad scope of responsibilities—spanning diverse products, technologies, system designs, and customer requirements—where you will play a key part in shaping EDMI’s hardware roadmap.
We are looking for a passionate, hands-on engineer who thrives on problem-solving and continuous learning. You will excel if you are proactive, accountable, and adept at collaborating across teams. Self-motivation, curiosity, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes are essential traits for success in this role.
In this role you will:
- Drive product development – Develop and implement new hardware solutions to meet specifications, including design, prototyping, and end-to-end delivery.
- Create and review documentation – Prepare hardware test plans, design documentation, and other materials to ensure reliability and compliance.
- Innovate and improve – Explore and apply new or emerging technologies to enhance both new and existing product designs.
- Collaborate globally – Work closely with worldwide teams and Customer Support to address technical challenges, aligning solutions with stakeholder requirements.
- Problem-solve effectively – Identify issues, propose improvements, and implement changes to new and existing designs.
- Maintain technical excellence – Stay up to date on advancements in electronics, firmware, and industry best practices, applying this knowledge to EDMI’s hardware roadmap.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Have 6+ years of industry experience in hardware development, ideally involving digital, analogue, or mixed-signal design.
- Demonstrate proficiency in electronic circuit design (including schematic capture and PCB layout), firmware development, and testing.
- Be highly skilled at problem-solving, with proven ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
- Show excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset to engage with cross-functional and global teams.
- Preferably have experience with power metering or related hardware design for the electricity supply industry (desirable).
