ConsultANZ is looking for a Commercial Manager to join a l eading civil engineering contractor in Auckland. Renowned for delivering complex infrastructure projects, our client is preparing for a major development in the region and requires a strategic leader to oversee its commercial operations.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute commercial strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities to expand revenue streams.
- Establish and track sales targets and financial objectives.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure commercially beneficial outcomes.
- Analyze market trends and performance data to optimize business strategies.
- Manage budgets and financial planning related to commercial operations.
- Work closely with internal teams to align commercial strategies with overall company goals.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks governing commercial activities.
- Oversee project forecasting, financial reporting, and cost management.
- Lead and manage the commercial team, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in project delivery.
- 10+ years of experience in the civil construction industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and manage teams.
- Background in Quantity Surveying and cost control.
- Expertise in contract administration and commercial negotiations.
- Proven ability in financial project management, including subcontractor oversight, claims, variations, and progress reporting.
- Experience using JDE systems is highly desirable.
- Competitive salary package: $200k - $250k (negotiable based on experience).
