We're in search of an agronomist with experience in broadacre irrigated and dryland cropping. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with seasoned agronomists, offering service solutions to growers and delivering cutting-edge technical expertise and product development advice to optimise their profits.
With a focus on customer interaction and sales, this position provides an excellent opportunity to hone your skills as an agronomist, covering various aspects such as crop management, administrative tasks, inventory oversight, and analytical reporting within cropping operations.
APPLICANT REQUIREMENT
We seek a proactive individual with exceptional communication abilities, driven by a genuine passion for aiding Australian farmers in maximising their productivity. Holding a Class C Australian Driver’s License is essential, as is the capacity to work effectively both independently and collaboratively. Your readiness to tackle challenges, coupled with a keen aptitude for problem-solving, will be paramount. Additionally, a strong eagerness to acquire new knowledge and skills is highly valued.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • promoting the companies service offering and products
  • advising and supporting farmers
  • offering technical guidance and assistance direct to growers
  • working with farmers directly to improve their yield and efficiency
  • supporting, maintaining and improving current client relationships
  • A strong knowledge of farming systems, with experience preferable in the application of precision farming technology.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work autonomously
  • Strong attention to detail with an analytical approach to problem solving
  • A current Australian drivers licence
  • What do you bring?
  • You will ideally bring extensive experience operating as a Broadacre Agronomist. You bring a lived passion for the Agricultural industry and a understanding of the crop segments in the Walgett / Burren Junction region.
  • Technical-minded and customer-focused, you bring excellent business acumen and the ability to communicate, negotiate, influence and develop constructive relationships with clients including channel partners and growers. You enjoy growing and developing your team and forming constructive relationships with internal teams and customers alike, and you’re results driven, collaborative and outcome oriented.
