A bit about the role
As a Senior Business Support Officer in City of Casey's Connected Communities department, you'll be the strategic enabler driving departmental efficiency and project success.
You'll provide critical support that connects teams, anticipates needs, and proactively identifies opportunities for business improvement. Working collaboratively across the organisation, you'll play a pivotal role in coordinating and implementing strategic priorities that make a real difference to our community.
What you’ll deliver
- Coordination and management of internal and external stakeholder meetings, conferences, training, and events.
- Support and drive the implementation of systems improvement initiatives, and the introduction and roll-out of new technologies and corporate systems across the business units.
- Maintain knowledge of current relevant legislation, policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure the compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordination and preparation of internal and external reports, briefings and communication across department.
- Develop and maintain collaborative, proactive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and achieve department goals and priorities.
- Actively contribute and where appropriate lead project work as required, ensuring structured planning, consultation with key stakeholders, and efficient use of time and resources.
What you’ll bring
- Relevant degree or diploma in Business Administration or other relevant discipline or relevant experience and work skills.
- Experience in building trust and rapport with stakeholders and maintaining networks and partnerships.
- Experience in managing projects and stakeholder management.
- Tech savvy with intermediate to advanced level of proficiency with the suite of Office 365 applications.
- High level organisational skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability effectively manage competing priorities.
- Demonstrated initiative to progress own work and identify resources needed to complete allocated work tasks.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check and Eligibility to Work check.
- A curious, collaborative, and inclusive community mindset.
