Your next opportunity:

Boral Cement Geelong are currently seeking a Plant Controller to work with our operations team. The Plant Controller role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of plant and equipment.

Your day will involve:

  • Cement Manufacture - Plant operation, including emergency adjustments to plant and equipment as required,
  • Laboratory sample collection, QA testing and dispatch,
  • Routine plant inspections and adjustments,
  • Completion of tasks that will improve the efficiency of the business or prevent serious plant damage, or risks to safety or the environment,
  • Drive continuous improvement
  • Supervision of contractors,
  • Stores duties (deliveries, receipting and stock take),
  • Assist with major repairs and maintenance,
  • Co-ordinate after hours breakdowns,
  • Isolation of plant and equipment

What we are looking for:

  • Relevant experience in a heavy manufacturing and/or production environment
  • Minimum of 3+ years post education experience in a heavy manufacturing / production environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude/technical skills;
  • Trade qualified (Highly advantageous)
  • Computer proficiency (Office suite, SCADA supervisory systems)
  • Recent experience operating a continuous manufacturing facility
  • Machinery operation (Advantageous) - Forklift (LF), Bobcat experience, Confined space and or working at heights (Training provided if no experience)
