Bayside Health Service are looking for an Eat Walk Engage Program Facilitator to join their supportive team at Redland Hospital. The Eat Walk Engage program is a geriatric inpatient initiative supported by the Healthcare Improvement Unit and an expert facilitation team at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, designed to prevent delirium and promote high quality acute care for older hospital inpatients. Redland Hospital is a 196-bed acute secondary teaching hospital and the major health centre for Redland City and Brisbane’s southern bayside suburbs.

About the Role

  • Lead the implementation and maintenance of Eat Walk Engage program on designated wards at Redland Hospital by facilitating the implementation of initiatives that will reduce delirium for older inpatients.
  • Provide high level expertise in clinical service delivery; project management and project coordination; education and training; and stakeholder engagement, as well as liaison and negotiation at all levels of the hospital.
  • Provide high-level clinical leadership, information and support to the multidisciplinary team to implement Eat Walk Engage strategies utilising an evidence-based approach.
  • Identify the educational needs of multi-disciplinary team who care for older patients and coordinate tailored training.
  • Promote older person-friendly principles and practices.
