We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assessor to join our team in the Residential Aged Care (RAC) Funding Assessment Program. Role Overview
As an Assessor, you will play a crucial role in undertaking RAC Funding assessments for care recipients in Residential Aged Care Services across the Bendigo/Loddon region. This role will require travel to various locations and possible overnight stays (negotiable). You will work collaboratively with Residential Aged Care services to ensure high-quality, clinically consistent assessments.
Start date is 12/5/25 and in your first week, you will be flown to Sydney to attend Commonwealth AN-ACC/RAC Assessor training
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality AN-ACC assessments, ensuring accuracy, thoroughness, and compliance with guidelines.
- Visit multiple locations for assessments
- Work cooperatively with Residential Aged Care service staff to minimise disruptions and ensure smooth assessments.
- Keep accurate records in compliance with privacy legislation, and follow all safety protocols, including infection control and vaccination requirements.
Skills & Experience
- Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Physiotherapist currently registered with AHPRA.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in the aged care sector as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Physiotherapist.
- Experience working independently and as part of a team in a clinical setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to adapt and respond positively to changing circumstances.
- Culturally sensitive and capable of conducting assessments with diverse populations.
